Lotus

Lotus

A Poem by Kay

My beautiful Raven with charcoal wings,

from your view on the highest pine above,

watch dear Lotus skating in muddy rings;

exasperation trembles her pearl-glove.

In transforming hearts, she sails and traces:

ghost-skinned ballerina deep in amour.

The gods sewed her many velvet faces;

elements of seduction dye her core.

Tenderly Lotus whispers soft secrets,

enchanted while your darkened feathers fall,

Lord of the Eclipse and Shadowed Sunsets.

See yearning in her dance at your first call.

Oh, precious Raven, against your inked eye,

this Lotus reflects the moon Earth to sky.
