Adjust Your Mindset.

Adjust Your Mindset.

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

There is a better life ahead.

"

The bouncing of a ball depends on the force that set it on motion.

Stone travels to compensate the magnitude of the catapult tension.

The faster the wheels spin, the faster the car travels on and on.

If a bird has to soar high, then it has to make its wing strong.

The bigger a room is, the greater its chance of accommodating things.

If the space becomes smaller, so will be whatever it can be filled with.

For a cup can never be filled beyond its brim,

Neither can a tied sheep go beyond its rope limit.

Why do we people limit ourselves by our mindset?

When success is unlimited and its height can’t be fathom.

We count our challenges and conditions as something permanent.

Not knowing that we are meant to change them all.

Right from the mind come human’s thoughts and actions,

And these structure everyone’s way of life.

Failure to improve your mentality is the failure to rise above your level.

For no one in life can ever rise above his state of mind.

I must admit there are several excellent examples of constructs you share here that might otherwise have gone unconsidered during a single lifetime... thank you for making this old fella think.. I hope these fine words get the attention and credit they deserve..... Neville

Dear Kay, you certainly give us some interesting thoughts to ponder on. It's great that some have such enquiring minds. It's those people that furthered science. I like where you take us with your lines and I'm all for life long learning. Enjoyable reading.

You are welcome.:)
You raise a few very valid and important questions, and I particularly loved the following :
We count our challenges and conditions as something permanent.
Not knowing that we are meant to change them all.

I like how you directly challenge human nature but ask us to confront our own responsibility. So beautifully conveyed through imagery too, I enjoyed the cup/brim analogy.

Best,
Laura
