Our safest hiding place is full of traps

It's so easy to lie to ourselves,
To avoid the truth to hide ourselves,
To leave reality and hide in fantasy,
To wish it all away,
To close our eyes and make everything disappear,
To run away,
To hide behind fear,
But one day the easy way will complicate itself,
The once straight path now a crooked road,
One day it all will change,
Easy will become hard,
Good will dissipate to evil,
Friendship will break,
Ally turns to foe,
What will happen then,
Will the darkness that hid us turn to light,
Will exposure come and take it all away,
Will the masks come off,
Or are we here to stay,
Life will continue,
But will our way?
When all else goes on,
Will we merely fade away,
But as long as life shall preserver,
So will I and all others till the day when we lose,
Then I will come out of hiding and expose my ways,
For now just wait for that day.
