Our Skin

Our Skin

A Poem by KeeD
"

Just a poem for someone who inspires me

"
The Chair
It sits there
Awaiting my presence

The Artist
He looks at my canvas
With perceptive eyes

The Body
Pale like snow
Ink would make you glow

The Detail
Eyes so deep
The needle lost in time

Blood Rush
Red with the needles touch
Cheeks blush with pain and pleasure

The Session
Long hours of severe pain
Artistic gain all in your name

The Tattoo
A portrait of you
The description of your beautiful face

The Message
Forever within
A constant reminder of what has been

and

what's to come

Poetic Love
&
Appreciation

I'm a canvas and you my inspiration

A piece on someone who has poetically inspired me.
Ink is permanent, think of it as a landlord always at your door knocking for rent. If it's pretty you don't mind. If it's a mistake like a one night stand on your behind, God help you find an explanation out of that one. :P

This is how I feel every time I get inked. Some display their art pieces on their walls. I on the other hand display it on my skin. Absolutely beautiful take on the entire process. I constantly ache for the intimate feeling between artist and canvass. Thank you for sharing. :D

The different color for each para-heading was jarring to my reading senses and my eyes. Guess I am getting old. Would give it a try with a fresh pair of eyes.

Wow this absolutely blew me away, it is beyond beautiful, the words are like an entwining of two souls. Lucky girl who inspired this in you. Beautiful work Kee.

Keegan,

Well done my friend. I love everything. I don't believe you need the thoughts in parenthesis). Let the reader use her imagination.

"I'm a canvas and you my inspiration" is eloquent; one of the best lines I've read recently.

You are an inspiration; keep up the good work.

this is so good, Keegan...

reminds me of Titanic...she became his best inspiration...
this much like poetry...there are somethings that just beg for us to find words to describe.

i like the way you present this...

the chair awaiting me to sit in it...i love chairs...my sister is not the best artist in the world but she has one picture of a chair sitting on a porch, empty...that pic makes my imagination dance.
your words here did that.

Lol. This reminds me...I need to get it covered up!!! Oh the shame in the large nautical rose done inefficiently. I am not ashamed....Soon to be made far more eloquently then I had first - ever intended. Lovely piece. I wanna feel the buzzing RIGHT MEOW! ^.^

Thank you Kat :) much respect and hope you creeper and I can work on something soon :)
This is a lovely tribute to the muse, Kee. Our inspiration is what drives us, and when there is no inspiration, often times the vehicle simply will not go...I think, on any given day, I could see a piece like this and have several people come to mind (speaking personally, that is) I have been inspired by so many wonderful writers here, and in the real paper world ;-) that to narrow it down to just one specific "name" would be difficult for me...you've managed to do it beautifully here, and, when you can touch those of us for whom the poem is not written as deeply as you have, just think how the subject of the piece must be feel. Superior write, my friend. You've got talent in spades. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
