Word Play

Word Play

A Poem by Alexzan Marie

Play with
words

The way that you
Play
with my heart.

Teasing it, turning it over in
your
fingers.
Like a coin.

Contemplate
The place for
My heart within yours.
Undecidedly.

Am I worthy?
Beautiful?
Flattering?

Do I make you feel
Like you make me
feel?

Play
With the idea
of
Loving me

Like you play with
the words
In my heart..

Word play.

Again, the line breaks do it for me. Short and snappy and clear, another good write. Though, did you mean to keep i uncapitalized in "Am i worthy?" Just curious, it seemed out of place.

A rather coy challenge.

Forward, but not aggressive. A nice tone. A nice finish.

I especially like the closure to this poem. Two simple words - Word Play. Great comparison between the heart and words. I love this! Words are powerful and can break the heart. I totally understand this poem.

This is an interesting poem. It doesn't really flow for me, but the words and the feeling I get ftrom it are exceptional. So, I pretty much think you did a wonderful job. I hope to see more from you in the future.
