The Ex

The Ex

A Poem by Keliy Nicolaites Kese

That’s one bang up chick
Looks so slick
Tellin’ you,
“Prick I don’t need’ja!
I gotta seaman
Callin’ me
And merman fins are much better
Than your Rolce Royce
Y’made the choice
To pay off!
Oh, ya so clever
But I can’t drown!”

Her laugh sounds like
Hyenas fight
At dinnertime
It don’t matter
If you cannot hear
Your scuba gear
Break in all’ah
Her clamor
Her clamshells
Hate bells
Butcha brought’em
‘Cause she matters
So why’d you drown?

In the afterlife
Y’win the fight
Poseidon dies
Y’take his power
And become the sea god
Megalodon ain’t enough
T’show you matter
All sailors hail,
Don’t set sail
A man in love is real angered!

“Oh why’d she watch me drown?”
