Jigsaw

This poem is about a girl I went to high school with who I still have like the world's biggest crush on. Her name is Jenah.

You're everything
That first dip in the pool on a hot summer day
A warming cup of cocoa after a day of snowy sleigh
That last piece of the jigsaw you've been working on all night
The jigsaw of a smile deep in your heart, so bright
The horn of a unicorn
Like the one created on the day you were born
Because you're not just some horse
You're different of course
And I need the last piece to my smile
But I guess this jigsaw will have to wait a long while

Some people effect us in ways we can't eliminate. I had a crush on a girl in high school and couldn't stop thinking about her ten years after graduation.

Although I must admit this poem has some forced rhymes, its still a good one.

This is a beautiful love poem. It really proves your love for the girl. It has great imagery, great musicality, it's all fantastic. My only critique is the "horse/course" couplet, for it doesn't really add anything, and a unicorn is already "not just a horse", so that couplet/rhyme seems only to have been put in there for the sake of saying out loud "You're different" (rather than ordinary). But using the image of the unicorn already does that, and a good poem doesn't need to spell out absolutely everything. The poem would not be marred in the least if you take those two lines out (and for what it's worth, it's a very cheesy and weak rhyme, to be honest).
