Better Place

Poem about my ex that died.....*still missing u*
While i'm sitting here Typing down these rhymes I start thinking About all of the times Of when we laughed When we played When you left When you stayed When we smiled When we cried When we were honest When we lied Through the good and the bad Through the happy and the sad Through the thick and the thin From beginning to the end All the ups and the downs I know how this sounds A little crazy i'll confess Now i'm burdened with stress cuz you aren't here anymore cuz now your knocking on heaven's door I know you're high above the couds I can feel you smiling down But theres a smile on my face Cuz I know in my heart that You're in a better place Where there's no more sorrow no more pain And then the clouds let out the rain There's a smile on my face Cuz I know in my heart You're In a better place When I got the news I was about to lose My whole entire mind When I remembered the times Of when we pushed When we shoved When we loved When we hugged When we sung When we danced When we stared When we glanced Through the yells and the screams Through our hearts and our dreams Through the night and the day I can honestly say I feel dead inside Wish you were still alive So I could show you my love But now you're looking from above Even though I wont see you anymore I know you're knocking on heavens door I know you're high above the couds I can feel you smiling down But theres a smile on my face Cuz I know in my heart that You're in a better place Where there's no more sorrow no more pain And then the clouds let out the rain There's a smile on my face Cuz I know in my heart You're In a better place

Very sad write, but written exceptionally well. Strange, but I posted a poem, "Too Late, Much Too Late," about an ex who died. She was a person I desperately needed in my life. but I failed to understand that at the time. Enjoyed "Better Place," I related.
