Sunbeams

Sunbeams

A Poem by kenny
"

a test of patience.

"
The sunshine that shines oh so bright,
the same light that will be lost tonight,
has waited for thousands of years,
to reach me and my peers.
Finally today it's patience paid off,
and it diffused into a glow so soft.
Patience is a trait I have won,
Something I hope to pass to my son.
And every day I search for his mother,
only rarely do I think it a bother.
For someday I will find her smile so bright,
so that forever it can push back the night.

Author's Note

kenny
It can take up to 2000 years for sunlight to reach the earth from the sun, due to the process by which it is formed inside the sun. Lets just hope it doesn't take that long for me :)
