Bedrock

Bedrock

A Poem by kenny

What is it upon which you stand?
At common glance simply, the land.
But if you dig deeper down through the exterior,
You'll find a material quite superior.
The humble and dutiful bedrock,
which endures despite eternity's clock.
And oh how it knows you,
in fact I think it loves you too.
For it will forever remain,
always remaining the same,
strong, everlasting, and wise,
all you have to do is open your eyes.
