Recovering The Impossible

Recovering The Impossible

A Poem by kenny

The World yet again demands more confidence,
while they spare me none at their own expense.
They want me to be strong and perfect,
they ask me to embrace ideologies I reject.
They tear me down and wonder why I'm crying,
then they over react and pretend I'm dying.
people just no longer truly and wholly care,
and ask for more than what I prepared,
I end up giving away more of myself in the process,
dying little by little, they couldn't care less.
Left so far from home without money or aid,
in reward for my kindness, I've only been played.
