hammer and chisel

hammer and chisel

A Poem by kenny

I force the steel of the chisel into the meat,
spilling the blood I relish in it's heat.
The flesh of the outside is peeled back,
the dull thud as the chisel doth hack.
Why do you squirm as I bring the chisel in again?
I'll make you prettier than you've ever been.
Revealing the truth, the structure,
so I may caress the musculature.
Feel the tendons as they give way,
make you truly pay.
You cry tears of pain?
you should know it only feeds my disdain.
For I'm the one who's hurt too deep,
so don't you even weep!
My masterpiece will be completed,
I care not if you the art becomes depleted.
I must now step forward to see you clearer,
after all its hard working in a mirror.
