Deep League

Deep League

A Poem by kenny

Bravely I took a plunge off my safe little boat,
and as I expected, I did not float.
But that was the plan after all.
You promised to catch me in my fall.
Said you'd meet me at the bottom on the sand,
however, I don't think you even left dry land.
I sank far and fast like the rock I was.
The pressure of the depths creating an incessant buzz.
But built as I was I withstood the massive force,
and I sank on my given course.
But where I expected to see you and the beauties of the deep,
instead nothing but darkness and horrors that still creep.
Soon darkness enveloped me,
and I was face to face with the abyss of the sea.
I saw monsters I thought weren't real,
I endured pains I didn't think I could feel.

Here I sit at the bottom of the ocean,
The crushing depths a weight on my very soul.
I care not for anything or anyone,
for to think is to hurt.
And to hurt is to lose a piece of me.
and I've out of myself,
I literally have no more to give.
not a damn piece.
because when you split this last atom,
you get a rather large boom.
