Life race

Life race

A Poem by Katie dominguez

i am but a weary traveler on the road of life. i look to bring past into present, future into reality, anything to replace this hallow routine that has become my day to day. this unending repetion of back breaking work leads me nowhere, while my days drift away seemingly un-noticed. here and now,  i vow to take a stand and regain direction in my slow paced life race. i am no longer a weary traveler, but a humble expeditionist. i let the past lye and heal with time. i embrace my future with and uncureable thirst. i work only to attatin my one true goal-----happiness----- when fulfilled, can bring pure bliss, in it's true form. i may have just begun this race called life, but i have come to find that rushing through does nothing but slow you down.

About
I write to process, it always comes out in poetry. Sometimes I find myself thinking the most poetic thoughts, but maybe I just put on a good show. I don't know if poets were meant to be lovers.... We.. more..
