Speechlessness

Speechlessness

A Poem by M.Kilani

Now that my mind circles around you

I count seconds to see your face

I count all heartbeats until next embrace

Ends now my solitude

The beauty of all dawns stands still to your silence

Peace ends all wars when you are there

Your comforting sigh ends all violence

Ends now my despair

Let them know birds in the sky

Let them know all ominous crows

In the vast abyss of your eyes

I finally found a home

You are the moon at my broken window

The madness covering my sadness

My coffee, my cigarettes and wine

Of hope you are the last sign

Tell them all you have seen in my eyes

Reflection of rainbows and gods

Tell them you have seen war and hunger

Tell them you have seen the last of warriors

Tell them you found home for the stray

Tell them what I can’t hide

Of my dreams and pride

Tell them about my joyful day

Tell them how we found three wishes

Thirty moons and three hundred stars

Tell them about my speechlessness

For at the chaotic presence of yours

All randomness makes sense

All fall in order revolve and spin

Like plants in the skies that everyone knows

And I can be there forever

Holding your hand

Astray in wonderland

In mind the words are river

A amazing story in this poem. I had to read a second time for the pleasure of the story. I like the flow of thoughts and the very good ending. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poem.

These are some beautiful thoughts, both lovely and dark - the contrast in some of these stanzas is staggering. Your word choice is both poetic and meaningful, and the structure is pretty much flawless.

As flavorful as a cheesecake. I know it's odd to compare this to food, but that's the best way I can. A person's relationship can shape them, and it doesn't matter if it's a family, friend or boyfriend/girlfriend.

Very descriptive i liked it. I enjoyed the 2nd to last stanza, beautifully written. This poem kind of does leave you speechless which matches it rightful name. Good work on this.
