Fairy Tale

Fairy Tale

A Poem by deathbroken

Angels, they make me feel shame
Demons, they howl, persecuting my dreams
Empty spaces, they fill me up with hope
But fading with distant faces

Then you came,
You see into me, like open doors
A thousand words, said within a look
Those poignant eyes, they haunt me

I followed my heart, and you were there
The evolution of time, metamorphosis
Morphing together distinctively with love
You were my savior

No longer do I dread the darkness
No longer do I fear of getting lost
You would be there, the light of my life
Guiding me to safe haven

Like a wish upon star, that ever so rarely comes
No more ‘once upon a time’s but here and now
My own fairy tale – a dream come true
