Moonless Night

She's wondering the night lost and confused. love at her side, silent and brooding. It leaves her distressed this beautiful moonless night was supposed to be spent in bed...

Dance with me
this moonless night
don't you see?
This isn't right
Feel my hand
on top of yours
Ice cold you say?
A mistake of sorts.
Hear my voice...hear me sing-
Of my favorite things to do-
Why don't you look at me?!
Am I too pale?
is my color gone?
This can't be right
but a game gone wrong...
This moonless night-
No clouds to see
Only sparkling dots...
Come stand by me
Ice cold I am?
Come warm me so...
This heavy night...
Don't leave me alone!
Answer me as you once did..
Don't be afraid;
It's just one kiss
Changeless, hopeless, I seam to be.
Why, I wonder, can't you answer me...
Dance with me, I plead of you-
This cloudless night is so beautiful...
Feel my hand
On top of yours
Do you not see?
My brand new dress-
I only wonder why it is stained red...
My color is gone...this cannot be...
This is a mistake.
Please talk to me!
This moonless night-
With only stars to see
It almost makes me wonder...

Mike Love has a song Love Will Find A Way and half way through he gets everyone singing -... keep me warm Mama, Keep me warm Mama - About Mama Earth keep us. And then when he gets everyone going he sings the lead over the harmony, Its one of my favorites and it's the name of his latest album, he's from Hawaii and is one of the nicest guys - his name is what he is, Love. this keep me warm reminded me of that, and a friend of mine Kopo just wrote a song Sunshine, keep me warm, I guess there's a theme.

Nice, a little distant but it has it's own mood, good write. Was it a parting in the night for you and someone kind of close, but was not to be, or someone consoling you in a split?
