Life is a movie we know how it goes,
A billion people to choose when casting roles,
You’re my friends, you’re my foes,
And we play it out until the curtains close,

The leading role we give to many,
To well-wishers with an extra penny,
Who we take as friends if we don’t have any,
But after that “penny for my thoughts”, what more can they give me,

Life is short you’ll soon realize,
I saw this with my own eyes,
When someone you love dearly dies,
You become someone you cannot recognize,

But love is pain, it’s all the same
So we bid fair well till we meet again,
And if I have the winning bid,
I’d picture you here and not in that frame.
