A Savior Took The Pain Away

For my mother and to her amazing faith in Jesus Christ.

I used to know a time when tears were shed-flowing like the summers rain.

There was pain and hurting and two almond eyes that didn't understand.

But

A savior took the pain away- he dried each tear from my face.

The rainy days went by.

A flickering light lite the sky

A summers breeze filled the air.

A small, deep voice whispering- load and clear.

I was free and saved. 

All that I had learned before

Kept it locked inside my heart.
