Consumed By A Virtual World

Consumed By A Virtual World

A Poem by KlineXcreed

I'm Locked in my room all day and all night, consumed by a virtual world.”

Game over.

I read,

It rolls across the screen.

I click at the buttons

Day and night.

I've killed hundreds.

I'm an assassin,

Stealthing,

Sneaking in the dark.

Waiting, knowing,

Choosing my cards.

I sit here with the controller

Power in my hands.

Aim, fire!

I defeat it again.

I need to achieve it burns upon my heart.

Reckless

Relentless

It's hidden in the dark.

Find it, expose it

That is what I do.

But again it's all in my head.

Do I really have the power

Locked up in my room.

Consumed by a virtual world?

Once again, I am impressed with the your writing. I am a video gamer myself, so, in a way, i can really relate to this sometimes. The way you deliver this poetry is well thought out and I'm sure many other people can relate to this. So for this one I say that you hit a grand slam.
