Bootleg

Bootleg

A Poem by Kirsty Woodward

I watched you go home with her
I watched you give her that drink
The drink that persuaded her to go home with
you
The funny thing is
She is another version of me
She doesn't realise the talk you talk
If she did
She would've walked away
I hear you laugh
I hear her laugh
But she doesn't realise
How your heart burns for someone else
And she is just a two hour replacement
Until we can pick up where we left off.

wow..yes...the substitute...the fling until we can get back to our thing...
and the problem is we love the other too much to let completely go...

so we take a break, knowing we will resume what is probably not good for either of us in the long run.
