Fat Cats

Fat Cats

A Poem by Kirsty Woodward

what it takes to be soft

in a world that is constantly trying to solidify you

we are watched

we are timed

education and places of work

are crushing the bones

airing out the soul of creativity

hearts bleed

people scream

and I suffocate

under the weight

of capitalism.

wow, i hear ya on this one....so robotic we have become...such followers of thought...where has all the creativity gone? "gone to graveyards every one, when will we ever learn, when will we ever learn?" (peter paul and mary)

we must wake up and start screaming to be flexible again.

So true. It's always about the money. Gotta get that money no matter what. What a different world it would be if we weren't just cogs in a big wheel. Very sad. Nice job. Like the title and your observations.
