Temptation

Temptation

A Poem by Klyn

Unburied, unfolded and intrigued

Boundless with emotion --stopped dead.

Again…and again…and again.

No longer can the pain seep into

The many doors left open;  for now

They are shut and closed tight.

The existing memories there are enough.

And still I see the enchanting smile,

The purr of the words and the enticing

Lure of many gifts.  Gifts I already have

But couldn’t see through the changes

In the leaves and the darkness of night.

Forgive me though as change is eternal

And failure is inevitable.  I am at times

Powerless in my own journey and consider

the pools of shiny pearls to feed my soul,

pamper my mind and decorate my distorted

visionary tour of delight.

Such omnipotent words when describing
a journey of change of ones self, inspiring
a flood of emotions. Great piece....
