Unfinished Poems

Unfinished Poems

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

My thoughts are black,
I have the courage to dedicate them
to you.
My words are white,
no epilogue fits them.

I would like to swim against
the tide of this world,
but the pain drowns out
our silence.

I am playing in a future
that no one is interested in.
Give me your hand,
I will help you understand
the vastness of this scarlet sky.

Before you understand the fear,
free the soul from
my stale body.
I learned to breathe little by little,
without complaint.

I hid all my dreams
in the chest of drawers,
next to unfinished poems.
