Silence Will Replace Love

Silence Will Replace Love

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

I die meekly
as I look at your stolen time.
I die without regret
that silence will replace love.

I am leaving
despite empty memories.
I am dying against words
that love their unnamed nature.

Your touch is white.
A stolen wind blows over you
like a scarlet shroud.
I cover myself with your green gaze,
I cover myself with my lips
that do not bring hope.

The world still cannot stop
to look at me straight into my soul.
A hideous night,
stripped of the stars,
begs for mercy.

A hastily invented complaint
does not bring relief,
it does not satisfy a scream.

"dying against words"
I will lean on them until the end...
and there will be no scream.
Life's done me okay...
