With Worthless Words

With Worthless Words

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

I cannot see any sky
other than your azure gaze.

I am going towards you,
even though love refuses to
obey me.
I am looking greedily for such an end
of the world that would allow me
to taste your fleetingness.

Do not feed me
with worthless words.
Give me what will let me lose
my hope.
I do not like your light
being taken away from me.
I don't like when only passion
remains.

Please lend me at least a seed
of this forbidden fruit.
Share the Sun that will help me
tear down the vastness
of another forbidden night.

Tear the last star for me
to lighten the time.
Let my pain be soothed in
the dream you moved into.

I really like your strong endings.
passion alone is not love...yes, there can be that sensuality of forbidden love...
but when it's over, loneliness is its own imperfect pleasure.

So touching, it made me stare into that state for a minute and feel it, a gift and a punishment at the same time
