The Lullaby of Your Breath

The Lullaby of Your Breath

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Emerald vastness. The boundless
sea abyss of your gaze feeds me
with crumbs of passion.

I nest my wet face in the imitation
of your dreams, I listen to the lullaby
of your breath,
I enjoy this silence
in the midst of your words.

Teach me to live so that
the future is a unique beginning.
Teach me to follow the path
that will one day lead us
to a newly built paradise.

Yes, I am making love
to your dreams,
I am tormented by your sweet pain.

Don't convince me that I will pass
on the first day of spring.
I promise to come back before
you pick the first apple this season,
born of a sterile apple tree.

As long as it rains in our hearts,
my world will remain unfinished.
I dedicate this ballad
to your beautiful life.
