Feel the Light

Feel the Light

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

I can't feel the light
waiting for me in your hands.
I do not see the shadows
that soothe wounds
inflicted by tears.

Your eyes are more beautiful
than dying memories,
your lips herald the promise
of a prophetic kiss.

There is a whisper on the island
of your dream,
reflecting a deaf scream.
A luminous night peeks out
between the tears,
and the herds of stars expect
the only prophecy.

My senses are ruffled by the wind,
my fear is soothing.
I don't remember
where your first love was born.

Someone got rid of homeless thoughts,
someone saved loneliness
from self-destruction.
