One More Second

One More Second

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

I see no tears on your conscience.

I give in to thoughts

that bring your scent.

I want to hear your fear again,

your confession.

There is a time in me

that forgets to go to work

from time to time.

Words are soft,

especially when it's raining poisonous.

I forgot that life is also

a ticket to hell.

I still dream of a silence

that would make me feel guilty.

The lost spring is not what

we wait for, what we expect.

I poisoned my most beautiful

moments.

Hateful looks bomb the void

in my body.

Don't pretend your life

deserves to die.

One more second and we can

choose a destination for this walk.

lots of feeling here, regret, wanting of a finish and yet, not ready to be finished

I like the last two lines - quite appropriate and thought provoking at the same time. This write drew me in -. I like the idea os a lost spring ...

Well done
