To Touch my Feelings

To Touch my Feelings

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Your emerald gaze is written

in the stars.

Jealous hands are looking for

an escape from winter.

Crimson tears are flowing,

your smile is not welcome.

Lost in my soul, I'm looking for

air to let me breathe.

Your whisper is louder

than my spasmodic scream.

I do not play on a night

without stars, I do not listen to

the calls of the orphaned Moon.

My dreams smell like

a forbidden passion.

I drink the tears from desires,

watch the light that dances

in memories.

And although love never makes

history, I will stay here

and wait for you to touch

my feelings.
