Your Truest Lie

Your Truest Lie

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Loneliness is too beautiful

to be given a happy name.

Love is too poor to finish

the next chapter

and turn the page over.

Show me your favorite heart,

share with me your truest lie

that will make me understand

that light is a gift for

the blind as well.

Closed in my own body,

with a tame soul

that follows me

like the most faithful shadow.

Winged, I fall into an abyss

which is really a void

with very delicate boundaries,

thoughts that were shaped

too quickly.

The boundaries that are so hard

to overcome, that keep a heart

from going in a well-known direction.

The tear that comes out

from under the eyelid

will remain a memento

of the more beautiful future.

This seems like a lonely soul (perhaps blind) or blind to life itself... who can't escape the dark abyss (the void) that sets boundaries for him; he wants to share a heart, and even a lie....and know that light itself is a gift for the blind...He feels as if his heart may be going in the wrong direction and is concerned. he looks to a better future... beautifully written... flows like a stream....quite complex as well.
Best, B
