I have found the source

of my existence in you.

Walking along the dark, swampy side

of the road, I have stumbled upon

the most beautiful future

I wish to dedicate to you.

I am painfully in love

with your light, with the smile

you have been looking for

so long in the thorny shadows.

I was choked by the unexpected

morning tide, I plunged into

happiness that still wanders

between the door and the window.

I come back with an armful

of poisonous memories,

with a bouquet of thoughts

on which the continuation

of the end depends.

I'm not playing with remorse, with pain

that doesn't match your tears.

I got tired of the excess of stars,

I went to the other side of the sky.

Kata, for someone who's writing in a 2nd language your grasp of metaphor, is quite astounding.
The opening stanza of this poem is simply mesmerizing. The swampy side of the road, WOW. Painfully in love in the thorny shadows, WOW. on which the continuation of the end depends, WOW.
