Drunken Delusions

Drunken Delusions

A Poem by Anaisa
"

Falling in love with drunken abandon

"
As swift as a bird, as quick as a knife
It sunk into me as fast and as sharp

Drunken delusions inside me arise,
Dreams and illusions keep me up at night

Oh, a shame my sense is lost,
And in you I fall completely at loss

Confusion and chaos a martyr of fate,
Unable to speak unsure what to say

Unsteady emotions fearful of an end,
Too fast all too sudden, too late to amend

And when I fall into my fantasy
I fathom if your kiss my last shall be

Sometimes I close my eyes and pray it is
And that you're standing here next to me

I rest my eyes and dream we're free
To dream, to love, to live in harmony
