Monkey

Monkey

A Poem by Kuo Yisheng

I’m a monkey building war machines for a devious nation

Don’t remind me cause I like to forget, all my previous stations

All my worlds are kept in storage, locked inside warehouses

I’ve got the real moon tucked away, it’s under where the couch is

Discarded nukes sit scattered out, across the coffee table

I’d make it pass the Stone Age, if only I were able

They knock on my door, ask me for more

But you cannot sip from a dry well

So I off myself, hanged man on the shelf, I’ll see you fuckers in hell
