Paths for the found, paths for the lost

Paths for the found, paths for the lost

A Poem by Love-shadowed Silhouettes
"

This poem is just a rough thought about someting I came across while in the car on the way to Wal-Mart...It was just a thought at first then I realised it would make a nice analogy... I love analogies

"

Imagine

if everyone drove

to the roads that

seemed to bring us

closest

to our desired

destination.

                             Imagine how many

                             people

                             would get lost.

The reason

this technique

doesn't usually

work is because

                             roads twist

and

                             roads turn.

Maybe the problem

isn't the roads at all.

Maybe the problem

is us.

                                  We all want to

                                  get to wherever

                                  as fast

                                  as possible.

That's why we drive.

                                  Now,

                                  consider this,

                                  anylictically.

What if we all

                                  took our time

worked a little bit

                                  harder.

If we just

                                  walked.

We could go exactly

                                  where we want.

No tricks,

                                  twists or

                               turns.

We have a

                                  sure-fire route

to sucess.

So why rush?

                                  Why take the fast lane

if there's such

a high risk

of failure?

                                  If we all just took

                                  the sidewalk.

If we all just put in

the extra effort.

I think we might actually

get somewhere...

Oh god, this sucked didn't it... I'm gonna publish it anyway but this is seriously the worst I've ever done (I think)
-.- Let me know if it's got anything good in it, cuz I don't see it...

I see where you're coming from. I often wonder at unnecessary impatience. The rush to get somewhere has become a convenience in our modern world, as it has become possible and people have adapted to it. To meander down a path is far more serene and rewarding than being stuck in traffic, but it would appear that a lot of people rely on engines rather than their own two feet.

It is logical but. We live in a world where everyone is rushing. Forgetting to enjoy the good moments that need to be enjoyed. Lately I try to free up one day to take it easy. Walk in the forest and not allow the world to bother me for a time. The poem is very good. Quick decisions and fast pace leave many things treated with little care.
