Silent Fears

Silent Fears

A Poem by Irresistaby Irish

"

I was so afraid of crying
So terrified of getting hurt
Worried that you may be lying
Knowing you could break my heart
So I pushed and pushed
For what you couldn't give
Pushed til you walked away
Now alone I must live
I'm still afraid of crying
Even as the tears fall
Still terrified of getting hurt
Even as the pain takes over all
No longer worried of the lying
Because I know you weren't true
And my heart is a thousand pieces
Broken because of you
I think I've finally found
The strength to say good-bye
To mend my own broken wings
Forever your Butterfly
