My Man My Friend

My Man My Friend

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

Although you think I cannot see

because they’re deep within your heart

I’ve felt you cry your silent tears

    descending down - salty, clear

like the rain in your soul as they silently

slide to the corners of your mouth

right on down into my heart

My friend - I feel your pain

I hold you close in my heart...

 close within my arms

as you weep with unshed tears

that catch in your throat

some current...

some from the past...

so intent on finding peace somewhere

out there amidst your grief

Your inner conflicts warring

for a sense of reality

wanting to win the victory

but feeling lost in the knowing of "how"

I long for you to win your battle

and I know one day soon you will

You will find wisdom and peace

 learning some things desired...

were not healthy for the soul and heart

And when you are ready

my heart wonders if someday

you’ll give me the chance

to help you find some answers

some peace

A place to forgive, mend broken hearts

and start anew

Then one day...

you’ll find peace

and a new love for your heart

Peace comes with wisdom

Then...

a new YOU will be born
