Carolina Girl
I drink in the images of your wind swept hair cascading down the gentle slope of your alabaster nape as it catches the gentle caress of the sun's rays. I stand transfixed at the tender motion of form whirling with the fluid
drape of your dancing skirt as it teases the surf with a wisp of your
affectionate touch. . . retreating in a playful escape from the cool splash of
water; twirling in a joyful prance with the sun.
Your welcoming way of kissing the sun
with the gentle rolling of your forehead towards its warmth, languidly wheeling
with the fluid roll of your shoulders.
In this moment of complete admiration
you catch me as I fall into the smooth landscape of your embrace.
Your loving motions move me--entranced
into a relaxation as your fingers, like the summer breeze, remove the hair from
my eyes as you gently caress my temples.
You steal my
attention with your whole shape of smaller shapes; listless in the euphoria of
your essence~
The whisper caress of your lifeline as you gently hold the curve of my face. . . . ahhh oblivion ______________________________________________________ ~shawn m. burgess
