Silenced

Silenced

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

                    *~~*

Silenced…

Eyes turned blind that used to see

Ears that once heard love -

Now deafened by the lack thereof

Where is that love you promised me?

Hushed now…

By the death of love that could not see

Death by darkness

Death by silence

That now painfully covers me

Once…

A flowering tree in daylight I was ...

The sun painted buds on my burgeoning leaves

But now…

I am silenced with your hand held over my heart

Silenced now - my flowering tree

You brought darkness to my heart

Smotherering out the light thst helped me see

That once caressed my out stretched limbs

Now - shattered like glass

That painfully covers me

I'm not an extraordinary woman, simply put... I'm just a normal, ordinary one. In my private life I am gingerly cautious with the people I meet, but fearless in the words I write. Not an extrove.. more..
