My Love Bendeth near

My Love Bendeth near

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

My love says I shall not beguile you with my tongue, but rather with my soul

"Go, do not be a prisoner to my heart or fettered by my rose for I give it freely

having picked it clean from its thorns so it may not prick thy finger

for it be naught thy blood I wish to draw, lest I use it as a balm to soothe thy soul

Accept my flower, for it is given freely to send thoughts of a lover's song to tug at thy ear

If doors before have sent you wandering alone in the night... become a dweller at my tree

for I am the root, therefore I become the leaves that shade you

from blisters of the sun that rendereth rays too harsh for thy tender skin

Eat not of the bread of those with an eye to devour thy soul

but nourish thyself with the bread of my heart and the drink of wine from my soul

for it is given freely to quench thy throat when you are dry of thirst and in need of nourishment

for it is with a true, devoted heart that bendeth near to draw you close unto me

Allow my light to shine in thy soul, breathing solace to thy weary flesh

for my heart remains forever and my love will always bendeth near

I'm not an extraordinary woman, simply put... I'm just a normal, ordinary one. In my private life I am gingerly cautious with the people I meet, but fearless in the words I write. Not an extrove.. more..
