SONG TO LUNA

SONG TO LUNA

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne

Am I lost to thee forever?

The moon throws off thine light
I stumbled and fell along my way
Yet mine ear heareth thy voice still...
Thine every sound and tone

Shall I cast my troubled heart....
Into the river near or far?
Luna, Goddess of the Moon
Bring me into thy light
Thee who radiantly paints the sky
In the Heavens high above

Come down to me...
Come back to me
I layeth my heart unto the root of thy tree
Please reach down thy hand
Bring me back up to thee
Help me rise above my days...
And break the chains of my misunderstanding...
That keeps me from flying up to thee...
Up to the stars and moon
That I may sing your ancient song...
So the treasures which ye' hold...
Can be forever mine

i found it wise that you used that form of English if you were directing it to a god or the moon.... made me enter a more spiritual realm due to its usage in the bible, so i was better able to connect with the simple words like lift and light which actually evoke very strong feelings.
