Dancing Naked In Rainbows

Dancing Naked In Rainbows

A Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne
"

Second chances and the power of love

"

The fog of illusion began to clear

lifting its stone, cold grip

that pounded and seized my heart

leaving me naked and bruised

It no longer resonates its haunting echoes

through the thunderous storms

and…

the valleys and mountains I’ve ascended

Its scalding, acrid mist

led me in circles outside myself

like a runaway pendulum

that led me over rough, old cobblestones

tripping me…

tricking me…

into a false world of delusion

So cruel and extreme were they…

all pretending to care

dressed in dark clouds and unending rain

that cried its tears

in a world so disrobed of light

I shed that skin a lifetime ago

Raked my way to deliverance

leaving my fingerprints in the soil

searching to touch the Divine

that reached down merciful, loving hands

to deliver me with its imminent, omnipotent touch

from a wretched path

that cast dark shadows in my steps

All my yesterdays...

All my tomorrows…

become one in the Now

for in that serene moment of truth

I learned to crawl...

then walk

with peace and love

 in light and glory

leaving me...

I'm not an extraordinary woman, simply put... I'm just a normal, ordinary one. In my private life I am gingerly cautious with the people I meet, but fearless in the words I write. Not an extrove.. more..
