Under His Wings

We are all protected by His love

 

In the eve’s golden wings of moonlight

Lord lead me in Your footsteps along my way

provide Your loving shelter

from the many tears I may cry

 

Relieve me Lord...

of my unborn thoughts and dreams

that may intrude

 into Your peaceful realm of love

 

Drop lovely, white feathers

 pure as Your mighty Angel's wings

to guide me if I lose my way

                                 

  Leave Your footprints for me to follow 

                      as I walk down roads in stranger’s lands

And…

If I don’t see Your footsteps there

I know You’d reach out Your loving arms                 

If I stumble and fall along the way

let my weary feet safely trod

in Your waiting footsteps

to meet You…

in Your golden land of Heaven

 

Yes lead me Lord...

through pitfalls, many and all

I trust on you to lead me out

But, dear Lord...

please lead me all the way
