![]() The Lies Of Truth~The Spider's WebA Poem by anne p. murray- LadeeAnne
Like the thin, white filigree of a spider’s web The lies of truth escape the lips In a labyrinth spun of skeins and snarly tangles Showing no light in greedy, darkened pits She’s the Lady of truth, so often abused Lies woven by lips of fear that are decried Sins committed by appetites of selfish hunger Behind a flimsy, woven wall of lies The Lady of truth so abused Lies that are spoken make the soul grow cold Bonds of trust spoken carelessly in her name Once the grim, morass stories begin to unfold She stands for justice, rightfulness and freedom Yet many are sent away to sit in pain and shame When the lies of truth are used to deceive The Lady of truth is unjustly held to blame Half truths, whole truths make us feel betrayed Does anyone tell the truth anymore? The sadness of innocence that slowly dies It hurts our world right down to its core Will I, will you tell the truth when all's said and
done We all need to be brave and plant her seed Constant betrayals make us all pay the price Is there anybody out there not afraid to lead? Will we be the one who stands up for our Lady? Will we lead our lives with honesty and trust? Let the world see that our Lady’s honor be told Or will we lead our lives with lies and lust?
