Hope

Hope

A Poem by LappelDuVide
"

Keep holding on.

"
She grew quieter
Her obsession grew stronger
Her pain got bigger
And her sleeves got longer
Her meals became smaller
And she became thin
She turned into skeleton
Just bones and skin

She had no control
Inside was a war
The demons decide
She's nothing anymore
She was so empty
Only feeling despair
Death being no goal
But she wouldn't have cared

Then one grim day
Far off in the distance
A voice said, "Hold on"
It held great persistence
The voice became Hope
And Hope picked her up
Hope showed her the truth
And bathed her in love

Slowly with Hope
She rose from the ashes
Hope fed her with mercy
And healed all the gashes
Then she became whole
As her meals became larger
Her sleeves got shorter
And her pain got smaller

Hope stole her obsession
She's completely transformed
She found the rainbow
That follows the storm

I wrote this awhile ago. It is my first poem that I was ever proud of. Constructive criticism is always appreciated. No hate please. Blessings!
