Faces

Faces

A Poem by Laura3841

Faces around me

Staring

Some cold,

Some welcoming,

All judgmental

Eyes that look me over

Reading me

Scoping me out

Is she good enough?

Mouths talking

Gossip

Chat, chat, chat

What does she look like?

Thousands of faces, eyes and mouths

controlling me as a puppet on a string

I walk with my head hung low
