I Was Right

I Was Right

A Poem by LawrenceA
"

A poem about being right at the end of it all.

"
So I was right.
You were caught in the moment
You swore that you loved me
I swore that you were lying
But I still believed you
And now I hate you
Now I wish it all to end
It's over
While you were sleeping
I stole the sun
I blacked the sky out
I tore the earth open
And in that chasm I dropped my heart
I roam now to remind you
Of what you created
This nothingness
This pain
That screaming voice in your head
Yelling at you
That you still love me
Still holding to the truth
We once shared
The truth that eats away
At your mind
Tearing your soul apart
Let it remind you
I was right....

Dear LawrenceA,

I like how this has more than one meaning. It can either be about cheating or it could be about finding out that a person you are dating doesn't really love you, but were in fact faking. I found it deep and the metaphor of how much the pain was, was exquisite, very raw and emotional.

Thank you for sharing.

Sincerely Victorious

God bless

Sometime being right can brake your heart. The poem had a real life feel to the words. Strong story in the poem led to a strong ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
