In Your Shell

In Your Shell

A Poem by LawrenceA
"

It seemed like paradise, turns out there was a simple exit that I had over looked, and then I was alone.

"

In your shell broken to pieces

Do I speak to deaf ears?

Will you hear my words?

Will you feel my touch dear?

What was I thinking when I left you alone?

Rotting away in such a paradise.

Could there be no better way?

To end such a perfect story?

But I guess you saw that you could leave

That sweet exit

I guess you pulled that knife for me

You just had to end it all

What was I thinking when I left you alone?

Rotting away in such a perfect hell

Could there be no sadder way?

To end such a play?
