The Back Room

The Back Room

A Chapter by Jessi Berlasty
"

"

Smile. Laugh. Glance over to your coworker. Don’t look in his eyes. Glance at the cash register. Show him your ring and hope he walks away. He doesn’t. “You have a pretty smile.” Express gratitude. He walks away. Campus cops are called. He’s escorted out.
