The creature of the sun

The creature of the sun

A Poem by LeahMichaels♥
"

Just a ramble of a beautiful creature, human but alien to this world of fear and shadow.

"

A fire burned within her heart.

Her soul was surrounded by beauty,

flowers bloomed the paths she walked.

It tore her world apart.

Delicately hot to touch,

her skin burned golden brown.

Relaxing into melody,

this enchanting girl would frown.

Alone and lost in this galaxy,

her families long gone.

Still this strange little girl walked the earth,

searching for the one.

Her eyes did glow like burning ember,

Her touch softly warmed his heart.

He'd never seen such a beautiful human,

and he'd been here from the start.

All he knew were long cold nights,

and darkness in his day.

He could not crawl among the sun,

it was his price to pay.

Though woe is he, he loved this beauty.

To kiss those pale pink lips.

To run his tongue along her neck,

to him would be pure bliss.

But he could never hurt this fellow creature,

she cast no shadow yet,

he'd follow her in her dreams,

it was her soul he kept.

This has such an enchanted feel, like a rich fairytale in beautiful modern language. There is both a joy and a longing expressed, and with your poetic form and flow it seems simply wondrous. Thank you for sharing..
